Grazi Play
What’s Regina up to?
The core to my existence is being a life-long learner and creator.
This space is to share some of my latest adventures in play.
Pottery
I just took my first pottery class and am so excited! It has been awful! When I got home from my first class my husband told me I needed to buy a rubber apron. When he asked, “what did you learn?” my honest answer was “humility”. However, I am loving it. The fact that it is so hard makes it that much more of something that I appreciate now and I know that whenever I get to create my first cylinder I will cherish it more than anything I could ever buy at a store. Now, I just need to get past the first stage of creating a cone…well actually I need to be able to center my throw…and wedging my clay. Yes, I need to begin with wedging my clay.
Cooking
I have always loved playing in the kitchen. My latest obsession is using a wok to explore recipes from Kenji Lopez-Alt . I found this great wok stand that connects to propane so that I can get maximum heat and flame, while allowing the wok to sit below the cooking surface. Now, when I have friends come over I can entertain them with the cooking as well as serve them delicious wok creations!
Gardening
My husband and I had been looking at living in Tuscany to experience the life of “living off the land”. Instead, we applied that principle to our life at home in Orlando and turned our unused pool table into a gardening station. We now grow multiple vegetables that we integrate into our weekly meals. It has been a year since our gardening project began, we have had more failures than successes, but the work is meditative and so invigorating and we are getting better at it each month!

“Being in leadership made me feel that I had to fit into a box of everything that I had been taught leaders should be like. However, it didn’t all feel natural to me and I found myself less engaged in my work than I was before. Regina helped me see how I could use my own strengths and character traits to create my own style of leading that was highly effective and refueled my passion for what I do every day.”

“I sought coaching from Regina at a time when I feared I would not be able to finish my final year in graduate school. After just a few months of coaching I was earning top grades in my classes and feeling confident in myself. Regina helped me differentiate between real obstacles and my own limiting beliefs that were getting in my way and we found ways to work with both of those so that I could reach my goals and thrive personally.”
